Peekuin ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Peekuin mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App. Please read this policy carefully. By using Peekuin, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and password (securely hashed). If you sign in with Apple, we receive the identifiers Apple provides.

Display Name. You may optionally provide a display name, which is stored in your user profile.

Usage Data. We collect anonymous analytics about how you interact with the App (screens viewed, features used) to improve our service. This data does not personally identify you.

Instagram Usernames. When you track a public Instagram profile, we store the username you entered. We do not access your Instagram account, and we never ask for your Instagram password.

Subscription Data. If you subscribe, payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store your credit card number, bank account, or any financial information.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and maintain the App's core functionality (tracking public Instagram follows).
To manage your account and authenticate your sessions.
To send you alerts you have opted into (new follow notifications).
To improve the App through aggregated, anonymized usage analytics.
To respond to support requests you send us.

3. How We Store Your Data

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which provides encrypted databases and authentication services hosted on cloud infrastructure. All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Supabase — Authentication and data storage.
RevenueCat — Subscription management and receipt validation.
Apple App Store — Payment processing for in-app subscriptions.
Apify — Fetching publicly available Instagram profile data (public follows).

Each third-party service operates under its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review their policies.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share data only in these circumstances:

With service providers who assist us in operating the App (listed above), strictly for providing the service.
If required by law, regulation, or legal process.
To protect the rights, property, or safety of Peekuin, our users, or the public.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:

Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Correction — Request correction of inaccurate data.
Deletion — Request deletion of your account and associated data.

7. Account Deletion

Peekuin is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to provide the service and fulfill the purposes described in this policy. When you delete your account, we remove your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

10. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encrypted storage, and secure authentication. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy within the App or on our website. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
